Picture Atlantic was formed in late 2005 by Patrick Chu, Nikolaus Bartunek, Ryan Blair, and John Tran.
All coming together from previous projects, the group of friends started out writing music to reflect their fun summer. Jumping onto the local music scene with their EP "Change is Welcome", Picture Atlantic crafted music to echo their experiences and feelings.
Playing Warped Tour at Shoreline in 2007, Picture Atlantic then geared up for their first full length album release in early 2008. With the choice of original drummer to leave the band to pursue school, Picture Atlantic took the much needed time off to spend all their time and energy on a new project.
Feeling the want for something new, the band worked on trying new sounds and taking music in a different direction. While writing and recording their new album, they then recruited long time friend Rico Rodriguez (drums/vocals) and producer Aaron Hellam (guitars/percussion) to join PA and fill the sound.
Picture Atlantic is now releasing their first full length entitled "Kleos". It is set to release in June 2008. For all info regarding the album, please head to www.patlantic.blogspot.com.
